I have a little gripe about charity tee’s. Yes, they’re for a great cause, so yes we’d like to part with our money. But what happens when they’re just…dare I say it…hideous? Emblazoned with silly designs or with loud logos? We don’t want something naff. We want something subtle, and wearable, and I think that’s what the My Sister’s Closet girls have achieved with ‘Laura,’ their gorgeous new t-shirt sold in aid of Pretty ‘n Pink Northern Ireland and Breast Cancer Ireland. The unfortunate reality of breast cancer is that almost all of us will be affected by the disease in some way during the course of our lives. In the case of the MSC girls, it was their beautiful friend Laura who found a lump. Ever determined to deal with the challenge head on, it was Laura’s cheerful attitude and need to help others that became the ultimate inspiration behind the tee. However, with such a disease can come financial strains and problems with everyday practicalities. It’s these strains and problems that Pretty ‘n Pink seek to help with, via small grants to fund travel costs, post surgery underwear, bills, respite breaks, mortgage payments etc. Indeed, this is something we can take pride in contributing towards- simply by wearing two sparkly hearts above our left breast. Let’s aim to be Pretty In Pink, in every sense. Shop the Laura tee here.
