I couldn’t think of a more fitting way to start my first outfit post than discussing my Blogging name sake- the classic Breton stripe. Introduced by Coco Chanel as part of her 1917 nautical collection, the iconic tee has become synonymous with that effortless Parisian style that we all wish we could emulate with such ease. When I’m stuck in a clothing rut, my trusty stripes will forever be my go to look. I love that throwing on something so simple can instantly make an outfit timelessly fashionable whilst never feeling dated. I tend to pair my stripes with black jeans, pointed boots and a leather jacket. This particular look is something a little different than my usual style. I thought it was about time my white skinnies finally see the light of day after our absolute washout of a summer. Comfortable Birks, a tailored leather jacket and leopard clutch complete this casual, late summer look.
