Ridley London is a brand that embodies something special. For me, it’s the combination of glamour and casual wearabilty. How often do we come across a fuchsia maxi that looks equally at home teamed with wellies at a muddy festival, as it does with statement jewels in a fine dining restaurant? Not often at all. And that’s the appeal. The idea of a luxe brand that delivers- no matter the occasion. We’re talking pieces that we can invest in guilt free. Pieces that combine the classic with the contemporary. Pieces in which we can feel beautiful and feminine. And ultimately, pieces that we can treasure for years to come. With fine silks, delicate ruffles and Liberty print designs at the forefront of the Ridley collection, each garment is made in Britain, hand cut and tailored to our own individual requirements. I sat down for Five Minutes With Ridley’s founder, Camilla Ridley. Trained in textile design and having spent over twenty years in the fashion industry, I was eager to find out a few little things about the woman behind the brand…
Describe Ridley London in three words?
Individual, Exquisite and Luxurious.
Who would you most like to see wearing your brand?
Cate Blanchett, Emma Stone or Amal Clooney.
What inspires your Ridley clothing?
Enabling real women to feel great and find their own unique style in our clothes.
How would you style the Lauren maxi?
For festival summer chic I would style it with wedges and a big floppy brimmed hat. For autumn I’d team with a big chunky cardie and boots.
What are your three holy grail beauty products?
City or Country?
Definitely both- Is that allowed?!
What is your motto?
You only live it once, live it well!
If we could only own one piece of Ridley what would you suggest?
I think one of the Lauren or Margot maxis. They’re definitely the most distinctive pieces from our collection this summer.
With huge thanks to the beautiful Camilla!
