I have a love/hate relationship with sunglasses. I’ll so often admire girls who pull off a slick pair of Celine’s with ease, cursing the fact I end up a poor man’s Dame Edna the minute a frame touches my face. But there’s no denying that the right pair can really set off a look. Part of me is unsure of sunglasses due to having a rather round face; a moon face if you will. As a result, it’s incredibly tough to find a pair that flatters me completely. So the fact that I’ve finally found ‘the ones’ is sure to have me strutting about like a celeb who does not want to be bothered. (Hence the all-black ‘I really want to blend in whilst simultaneously looking like a rock star’ outfit.) Due to my aforementioned issues with sunglasses I was a little hesitant about ordering these Gucci bad boy’s online after falling in love with them on Perfect Glasses, an amazing site offering a vast array of fab designer glasses online. A handy little tool allows you to upload a selfie and ‘try-on’ the frames before you order, ensuring you’ve made the right decision. And when they arrived in their beautiful Gucci monogrammed case a mere two days later I knew I’d definitely made the right choice. The structuring of the frames help my own face to appear more contoured and the tortoise shell flecks bring out the different strands of colour in my hair in the most flattering way. Ideal. Overall, if you’re anything like me there really is so much to consider when choosing your own pair, but checking out perfect glasses would be a good start- they even offer prescription sunglasses. But don’t get me wrong, splashing out on designer shades is no mean feat. I’ve hummed and hawed at the duty free many times over, but when the website offers an even bigger range for even less money, then ordering online seems like the most sensible bet. Thus, as the site sources their products directly through the supplier we’re met with an attainable way to nab some designer shades. I’ve collated my favourite sunglasses of the moment, preferring the classic, more simplistic styles for a more high-end look. And the odd splash of pink, naturally. Hello Jimmy Choo, Fendi, Gucci and Dior. Just click on the pics to shop the shades!
