‘She needs a different wardrobe. She needs outfits that will take less thought, are easy to put together and ones that can take her from day to night. She needs the pieces she buys to be versatile, to last, look great and she wants to wear them multiple times and in different ways.’
I’m trying to change my shopping habits. Why? Partially due to our current obsession with minimalism. I’m looking at you Marie Kondo. Somehow my stuffed wardrobe(s) just aren’t making the cut anymore. And they definitely aren’t sparking any sort of joy. It’s this new found obsession with minimalism and the ridiculous amount of tat that I have amassed over the years, that have brought me to Born at Dawn. Rejoice! Via what is essentially a perfectly curated capsule wardrobe, Born at Dawn focus on personal, effortless style. Pieces can be mixed and matched, and there’s a great array of mid to higher end independent brands. Their pink Selected Femme cardigan is the perfect transitional piece thanks the soft blush shade and 100% merino wool. Optimal cosiness. Optimal style. I’ve gone with relaxed jeans, little Liberty print peplum top and a casual grey trainer. This is a collection for the girl who wants to buy less and wear more. Who wants to invest in a meaningful piece once a month rather than those key Zara or Topshop pieces that just about everyone seems to be wearing this season. This is an edit for the girl who really, really needs to declutter that wardrobe. Or two. This is personal style in a way that I adore. Shop my favourite pieces below.
